Water-repellent

The Nova Double is made from waterproof polyester. The panniers’ flaps are especially designed to protect their contents against light rain. However, if you want it to protect your gear against heavier showers, we recommend buying a New Looxs rain cover for double bike panniers to go with it. All panniers are waterproof when protected by a rain cover.

Main compartment and zip pockets

The pannier’s main compartments is very generous, so it will carry more than you might suppose at first glance. In addition, the pannier has an extra zip pocket under the flap on the front. The main compartments have two small snap fasteners, which are easier to open than large snap fasteners. There is a zip pocket on the flap of each bag too. The practical arrangement of the compartments makes it easy to stow everything you need, whether you use it for your daily shopping, commuting to work, travelling to school or for a leisure ride.

Mounting system

The New Looxs Detachable mounting system is a system that works by attaching straps to a small plate on your luggage carrier. Then the pannier fixes easily to the carrier and is secured with straightforward twist locks. The advantage of this system is that it will fit all luggage carriers and the pannier lifts off the bike easily. It can also be used for electric bikes. The bridge strap that connects both bags is 18 cm. A small Velcro strap allows you to fix the bike pannier more securely to the sides of the luggage carrier.
If you want the bike pannier to sit a little more to the back of the luggage carrier, we recommend using a New Looxs spacer which prevents the pannier catching on the wheel. Slide the spacer into the insert pockets on the back of the bike pannier.
The bike pannier is sturdy and keeps its shape well due to the plastic stiffeners that slide into the bottom and sides of the bags so they do not lose its shape, making it easy to stow things in the bags.
