Water-repellent

The Nova Double is made from waterproof polyester. The panniers’ flaps are especially designed to protect the content of the bags against light rain. However, if you want it to protect your gear against heavier showers, we recommend buying a New Looxs rain cover for double bike panniers to go with it. All panniers are waterproof when protected by a rain cover.

Main compartment and zip pockets

The pannier’s main compartments is very generous, so it will carry more than you might suppose at first glance. In addition, the pannier has an extra zip pocket under the flap on the front. The main compartments have two small snap fasteners, which are easier to open than large snap fasteners. There is a zip pocket on the flap of each bag too. The practical arrangement of the compartments makes it easy to stow everything you need, whether you use it for your daily shopping, commuting to work, travelling to school or for a leisure ride.

Mounting system

The Nova Double bike pannier with Racktime Snapit 2.0 adapter is designed for Racktime 2.0 luggage carriers so check whether your bike has a Racktime 2.0 carrier!
The bike pannier has a pre-mounted Snapit 2.0 adapter so the bag clicks quickly onto the luggage carrier. You can adjust the adapter to fit both wide and narrow Racktime luggage carriers. You can release the bag from the bike with one swift motion – a very practical feature if you don’t like leaving your bike pannier on your bike. And of course it’s better to take bike panniers off the bike if you need to transport the bike on your car’s bike carrier.

The advantage of the Racktime 2.0 mounting system is that the bike pannier is always properly secured to the luggage carrier, so it stays in place and doesn’t slip about. A small Velcro strap allows you to fix the bike pannier more securely to the sides of the luggage carrier.
We recommend a New Looxs spacer with this Nova double bike pannier if you regularly use it for heavy loads. The spacer prevents the pannier catching on the wheel. Slide the spacer into the insert pockets on the back of the bike pannier.
The bike pannier is sturdy and keeps its shape well due to the plastic stiffeners that slide into the bottom and back of the bag so it does not lose its shape, making it easy to stow things in the bags.
