Water-repellent

The Mondi Joy Double is made from waterproof polyester. The flap falls nicely over the pannier, making it water-repellent and offering ample protection against light rain. However, if you want it to protect your gear against heavier showers, we recommend buying a New Looxs rain cover for double bike panniers to go with it. All panniers are waterproof when protected by a rain cover.

Large main compartment

The bike pannier’s main compartment is very generous, which means that you can take plenty with you. In addition, the pannier has an extra zip pocket under the flap on the front. The main compartment has two snap fasteners. There are another two pouches on the sides of the bag. The practical arrangement of the compartments makes it easy to stow your things neatly, whether you want to go shopping, commute to work, travel to school or go on a leisure ride.

Practical

The bike pannier is attached to the luggage carrier with small straps so it will fit on practically every kind of bike, including electric ones. The bridge strap that connects both bags is 18 cm. A small Velcro strap allows you to fix the bike pannier more securely to the sides of the luggage carrier. You only need to attach the pannier to the bike once; after which it will remain securely fixed to the carrier. If you want the bike pannier to sit a little more to the back of the luggage carrier, we recommend using a New Looxs spacer which prevents the pannier catching on the wheel. Slide the spacer into the insert pockets on the back of the bike pannier.
The bike pannier is sturdy and keeps its shape well due to the plastic stiffeners that slide into the bottom and back of the bag so it does not lose its shape, making it easy to stow things in the bags.
