Water-repellent

The Mondi Joy Double is made from waterproof polyester. The flap falls nicely over the pannier, making it water-repellent and offering ample protection against light rain. However, if you want it to protect your gear against heavier showers, we recommend buying a New Looxs rain cover for double bike panniers to go with it. All panniers are waterproof when protected by a rain cover.

Large main compartment

The bike pannier’s main compartment is very generous, which means that you can take plenty with you. In addition, the pannier has an extra zip pocket under the flap on the front. The main compartment has two snap fasteners. There are another two pouches on the sides of the bag. The practical arrangement of the compartments makes it easy to stow your things neatly, whether you want to go shopping, commute to work, travel to school or go on a leisure ride.

Racktime

The Mondi Joy double bike pannier with Racktime Snapit adapter fits Racktime luggage carriers, so check whether your bike has a Racktime carrier! The bike pannier has a pre-mounted Snapit adapter so the bag clicks quickly onto the luggage carrier. You can adjust the adapter to fit both wide and narrow Racktime luggage carriers. You can release the bag from the bike with one swift motion – a very practical feature if you don’t like leaving your bike pannier on your bike. And of course it’s better to take bike panniers off the bike if you need to transport the bike on your car’s bike carrier. However, the Racktime Secureit lock is available separately if you want to leave you pannier on your bike and would like to protect it against thieves.
The advantage of the Racktime mounting system is that the bike pannier is always properly secured to the luggage carrier, so it stays in place and doesn’t slip about. A small Velcro strap allows you to fix the bike pannier more securely to the sides of the luggage carrier.

Practical

If you want the bike pannier to sit a little more to the back of the luggage carrier, we recommend using a New Looxs spacer which prevents the pannier catching on the wheel. Slide the spacer into the insert pockets on the back of the bike pannier.
The bike pannier is sturdy and keeps its shape well due to the plastic stiffeners that slide into the bottom and back of the bag so it does not lose its shape, making it easy to stow things in the bags.

Safety

The bag has reflective detailing for more safety in poor visibility. The bike pannier is available in the elegant pattern Ivy and comes in black, grey or walnut.
